The Motability Scheme was established to provide disabled people with safe, reliable and affordable cars.

The scheme works only because it continues to bring together a number of essential elements:

The Government – Motability Charter – Motability Finance Limited Car Manufacturers – Car Dealers – Specialist Adaptation Companies – Insurance and Roadside Assistance Providers

Over 1.5 million disabled people in the UK qualify for the higher rate component of the disabled living allowance from the government. Currently over 400,000 disabled people have chosen to have their allowance paid to the scheme to meet the costs of having a car through a contract hire or hire purchase arrangement.

Cars are supplied new from a number of accredited dealerships and from a number of brands. A small amount of used cars are also supplied.

Motability cars through Seward Vauxhall
Vauxhall have always had one of the largest choice of cars on the scheme, nearly every model is available ranging from the Vauxhall Agila through to the Signum and now includes for the first time Astra Convertible. Seward Vauxhall has Motability Specialists in all three of their branches.

Being Eligible
It is now even easier to order your new car. From June 2004 Seward Vauxhall are now able to process your application form from our showroom online. This brand new pilot scheme provided by Motability Operations enables us to e-mail your application form direct to Motability and reduces the time spent in the post. This will improve turn around times especially for new first time applicants, as well as making light work of the paperwork for returning customers.

To find out more please contact our Motability Specialists to make an appointment to go through the latest advance payments and cars on offer.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
