CARSHOP is delighted to welcome you to the growing number of motorists who have purchased their cars at CARSHOP.

This warranty covers the sudden and unforeseen failure of any component listed below, to a limit which we will agree with you.

The warranty does not cover wear and tear of those regarded as service items or components which are expected to require periodic replacement. Our warranty gives our customers happy and trouble free motoring.

General Terms and Conditions

A motor vehicle does require regular maintenance and it is a condition of the warranty that it is serviced by CARSHOP every six months.

If your vehicle develops a serious fault and driving further will cause added damage, you must stop immediately or as soon as it is safe to do so.

All repairs to your vehicle under this WARRANTY must be carried out by CARSHOP.

This warranty is not transferable and has no surrender value.

Components Covered By This Warranty

Listed below are the components covered, any components not listed are excluded.

ENGINE All internal components comprising: cylinder head and cylinder head gasket, valves, valve springs, valve guides, camshaft and bearings, cam followers, hydraulic lifters, push rods and rocker gear, timing gears, timing chains and tensioners, pistons and piston rings, cylinder liners and liner seals, connecting rods and small end bearings, gudgeon pins, crankshafts and crankshaft bearings, oil pump and oil pump drive, distributor driveshaft, flywheel and starter motor ring gear, flexiplate/auto drive plate, inlet and exhaust manifolds. (excluding oil leaks).

TURBOCHARGER Internal failure of factory fitted turbocharger
and wastegate.

GEARBOX (Manual and automatic) All internal components comprising: gears, shafts, synchro hubs and baulk rings, selector shafts and selector forks, internal bearings and bushes, oil pumps, valves and valve block, automatic gearbox clutches and brake bands governor, torque convertor. (excluding external linkages and oil leaks)

TRANSMISSIONS Internal components comprising: crown wheel and pinion, differential gears and bearings, halfshaft and halfshaft bearings.driveshafts, bearings and constant velocity joints, propshaft universal joints and centre bearing, hubs and wheel bearings. (excluding oil leaks, driveshaft gaiters and drive belts on constantly variable transmission).

COOLING SYSTEM Internal failure of water pump

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Internal failure of alternator or starter.

CASINGS Casings are covered when damaged by failure of an insured component.

RECOVERY A maximum of £25 for each breakdown.

MISCELLANEOUS The rectification of external oil leaks is not covered and the cost of seals and gaskets will only be accepted where they are required as a direct consequence of a valid claim under this warranty.
